Blagdani su savršeno vrijeme da zajedno s djecom stvaramo uspomene u kuhinji. Uz miris naranče, čokolade i malo kreativnog nereda. Ovi brzi i zdravi Jaffa kolačići gotovi su za tren, a toliko su ukusni da nestanu čim ih stavite na stol. Idealni su za roditelje koji žele pripremiti nešto zdravo, bez rafiniranog šećera, ali i za sve koji žele slatki zalogaj koji ne opterećuje.

Sastojci za 6 jaffa košarica
Tijesto
- 1 jaje
- 25 g eritrita ili 30–35 g praha datulje
(tijesto će biti tamnije ako koristite prah datulje) - 25 g pirovog brašna tip 630
- 1/4 žličice praška za pecivo
Žele
- Sok jedne cijeđene neprskane naranče
- Korica pola neprskane naranče
- 1 žlica meda
- 4 listića bio goveđe želatine ili agar agar
Preljev
- Tamna čokolada 80% ili veganska čokolada bez šećera
Priprema
1. Tijesto
- Umutite jaje s prahom datulje ili eritritom dok ne postane pjenasto.
- Dodajte pirovo brašno i prašak za pecivo pa sve lagano sjedinite.
- U kalup za muffine (idealno silikonski) stavite po 2 žlice smjese u svaku košaricu.
- Pecite u prethodno zagrijanoj pećnici na 180°C oko 10–15 minuta, dok lagano ne porumene.
- Ostavite da se potpuno ohlade.
2. Žele
- Sok naranče pomiješajte s naribanom koricom.
- Listiće želatine potopite pojedinačno u hladnu vodu 5–10 minuta.
- Omekšalu želatinu ocijedite i stavite u lončić sa sokom naranče. Lagano zagrijavajte dok se potpuno ne otopi.
- Prelijte u manju četvrtastu posudu i stavite u hladnjak da se dobro stegne.
- Kad se žele stvrdne, izrežite kružiće pomoću kalupa ili male čašice.
3. Spajanje Jaffa kolačića
- Na svaki ohlađeni biskvit stavite jedan kružić želatine.
- Prelijte temperiranom, ohlađenom otopljenom čokoladom.
Nemojte koristiti toplu čokoladu jer će otopiti žele. - Po želji ukrasite dodatnom naribanom koricom naranče.

The Best Healthier Jaffa Cake Loved by Kids and Adults Alike

These quick and healthy Jaffa cakes are ready in no time, and they’re so delicious they disappear the moment you put them on the table. They’re ideal for parents who want to prepare a healthier, refined-sugar-free treat, as well as for anyone who loves a sweet bite that won’t weigh them down.
Ingredients for 6 Jaffa cups
Cake base
- 1 egg
- 25 g erythritol or 30–35 g date powder
(the batter will be darker if using date powder) - 25 g spelt flour type 630
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Jelly layer
- Juice of one freshly squeezed organic orange
- Zest of half an organic orange
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 4 sheets of organic beef gelatin or agar agar
Chocolate topping
- Dark chocolate 80% or vegan sugar-free chocolate
Preparation
1. Cake base
- Whisk the egg with date powder or erythritol until light and fluffy.
- Add the spelt flour and baking powder, then gently stir to combine.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of batter into each muffin mold (silicone molds work best).
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 10–15 minutes, until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool completely.
2. Jelly layer
- Mix the orange juice with the grated zest.
- Soak each sheet of gelatin individually in cold water for 5–10 minutes.
- Squeeze out the softened gelatin and add it to a small pot with the orange juice. Heat gently until fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into a small rectangular dish and refrigerate until firm.
- Once set, cut out small circles using a mini cutter or the rim of a small glass.
3. Assembling the Jaffa cakes
- Place one circle of jelly onto each cooled cake base.
- Pour over tempered, cooled melted chocolate.
Do not use warm chocolate, as it will melt the jelly. - Decorate with a little extra grated orange zest if desired.
